Kick-off event for the 2017/2018 winter season at Würth: Top athletes of German Ski Association (DSV) kitted out at Adolf Würth Airport and CARMEN WÜRTH FORUM

Summary

Künzelsau/Schwäbisch Hall. As one of the three main sponsors of the German Ski Association (DSV), Würth invited the top athletes of all six DSV disciplines to the official kitting out at Adolf Würth Airport in Schwäbisch Hall and CARMEN WÜRTH FORUM in Künzelsau. On 18 and 19 October, the skiing pros visited Würth in Hohenlohe for the fifth time.

“Demanding and inspiring top performance is not just the order of the day in top-class sports, it is also an integral part of Würth’s corporate culture. We know that it takes untiring commitment to be successful. And this is exactly our motivation for supporting the DSV athletes,” explained Dieter Münch, Head of Marketing/Advertising at Würth. “This partnership is the perfect match.” Würth has sponsored the German Ski Association since 2002. Sponsorship was extended until 2022, continuing the successful partnership also in the future. “The positive development we have seen within the German Ski Association over the past 15 years would not have been possible without this great support and the mutual trust we have built over the years,” said Walter Vogel, Managing Director of DSV Marketing GmbH.

On 18 October, the DSV athletes from all disciplines as well as their coaches, assistants and technicians received their equipment for the upcoming winter season at Adolf Würth Airport in Schwäbisch Hall. In addition, car sponsor Audi handed over new cars to the top athletes and head coaches. Eric Frenzel’s preseason car was treated to professional detailing using products of the Würth Perfection Line. Both Würth and DSV took to social media to report on the event.

At a gala dinner at newly opened CARMEN WÜRTH FORUM, the DSV family honored their athletes for their achievements. “The impressive success of DSV deserves our highest respect. DSV stands for 100 % performance, just as Würth stands for 100 % quality. We are particularly impressed by the DSV athletes remaining down to earth despite their many successes. This is what goes very well with our Würth brand philosophy. We are therefore happy to continue our cooperation in the years to come. We look forward to exciting competitions in the upcoming season and keep our fingers crossed for a true flood of medals at the Winter Olympics in South Korea and the World Cup season’s final in Tyumen, Russia. It is a pleasure to have you here today!” said Norbert Heckmann, Chairman of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG.

The following athletes received a “Goldener Ski”, the Golden Ski Award of DSV, for their extraordinary performance in the previous season:
