“We are very grateful and sincerely touched that Prof. Reinhold Würth and the Würth Group have more than doubled their already generous sponsorship. Our profound conversations have shown that we are just as united by our idea of quality as we are by our belief in the power of art. I see this extended sponsorship as a confirmation of our work so far and as a mandate to remain unwaveringly true to the intentions of our founding fathers even in difficult times,” said Festival President Dr. Kristina Hammer and thanked Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth and the Würth Group on behalf of Salzburg Festival's Board of Directors.
Art and culture are an integral element of the Würth Group’s corporate culture. The commitment to a vibrant cultural landscape reflects central aspects of the Würth Group, such as openness, internationality, and quality.
“I have a great passion for art, literature, architecture, and music. For me personally, the latter is indeed the highest of the arts and a special treat. Going home with a melody on my mind after a wonderful concert—that is what I call a splendid day,” said Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth.
The commitment of Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth and the Würth Group, especially in the field of the fine arts, has been shaping the cityscape of Salzburg for more than 30 years. The most prominent example of this commitment is the Walk of Modern Art, an art project spanning ten years that has resulted in a globally unique art trail in the heart of the World Heritage city. Since 2013, the works displayed along the Walk of Modern Art have been on permanent loan from the Würth Collection to the city of Salzburg. Apart from his responsibility for the staff and the company, his responsibility to society plays a central role for Reinhold Würth.
