Hundreds of people celebrate the music festival of Würth Foundation

A very special festival

Summary

A guest appearance by the Montanara male choir from Stuttgart ended the 5th music festival of Würth Foundation. More than 400 visitors enjoyed the summer festival day under the motto “Leben mit Herz” (Live with your heart).

Starting at 11:00 h, five music groups from institutions in the region where people with disabilities live or work played on two stages at Carmen Würth Forum. In the morning, performances were given by the group “Klangspiel” hailing from the Caritas workshop Alois Eckert Lauda-Gerlachsheim, the “Happytones” of Lebenshilfe Buchen and the “Anne-Sophie-Chor” of  Hotel Restaurant Anne-Sophie Künzelsau that was joined on stage by Carmen Würth, the initiator of the music festival. In the afternoon, visitors could listen to the piano project of Andreas-Fröhlich-Schule Krautheim and “The Braillers” of Blindeninstitutsstiftung Würzburg.

“Seeing what these people are capable of doing will resonate for a long time with all of us when we go home tonight,” said Carmen Würth. She has already been dedicating to the living and working together of people with and without handicap for decades. “Together with the Würth company, we will continue to support people who need help.” The music festival of Würth Foundation has generally been taking place every other year since 2013. “Where there is music, there is happiness. Where there is music, there is encounter and interaction”, said Norbert Heckmann, Chairman of the Management of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG.

In a short presentation in the afternoon, Prof. Renée Lampe, holder of the Markus Würth Endowed Professorship for Pediatric Neuro-Orthopedics and Cerebral Palsy at the Technical University of Munich, discussed the highly positive effect of piano playing on the hand motor skills and the neuroplastic changes that develop in the brain as a result. In Museum Würth 2, art experts presented the current exhibition “The Long View. Reinhold Würth and His Art Collection” with key works of modern and contemporary art from the Würth Collection in three highly frequented guided tours. The interactive station of the integrative sports club Kraft-Werk Schwarzach e.V., the exhibition stand of “Lindele“, the shop in Künzelsau selling products created by disadvantaged people, and the information stand of Familienherberge Lebensweg were attended by many visitors.
