60 Würth volunteers help at 2022 Special Olympics in Berlin

Summary

4,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities competed at the Special Olympics National Summer Games in Berlin from 19 to 24 June 2022. 60 Würth Group volunteers supported athletes in table tennis. Whether as referee, squad leader or supervisor, volunteer work is versatile. The national games are an important milestone on the road to Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, the world’s largest inclusive sports event.

The volunteers of the Würth Group come from different Group companies: Würth Elektronik Group, Würth Industrie, Reca Norm and Würth IT.

Since spring 2008, Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG has been premium partner of Special Olympics Germany. It is all about people helping others. Since the beginning of the collaboration, more than 1000 employees of the Würth Group have been working as volunteers. Carmen Würth is particularly involved: She worked as Vice President of Special Olympics Deutschland for six years until November 2011.
