Subsidiary Würth South Africa celebrates 45th company anniversary and inaugurates new head office

Künzelsau/Gauteng. On the occasion of its 45th company anniversary, Würth South Africa (Pty.) Ltd. inaugurated a new head office in Kempton Park, Gauteng. The new building had become necessary as a result of the company's growth in the past years. The new building was officially opened by the company management and Svein Oftedal, who is in charge of the Würth Line companies in Northern Europe and Africa.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new head office and the anniversary the company had organized a series of events, such as a party with all employees and their families and a day for customers with about 1,000 participants, who partly covered a distance of

400 km or more to attend the celebrations. In accordance with the Würth Group's corporate culture it was a matter of the heart for the employees of the company to express their thanks for 45 years of loyalty and success in form of social commitment. For that reason Würth South Africa organized a big party for 85 orphans between 7 and 19 years.

The new head office houses a distribution and logistics center covering a surface area of 4,000 square meters and an administrative wing of 1,000 square meters. Würth South Africa (Pty.) Ltd. was established in Johannesburg in 1970 and has meanwhile a total of 350 employees, of which 250 work in the sales force. In 2014, the company generated sales of over EUR 20 million.
