Würth founds IT company in India

Summary

Künzelsau/Pune. The Würth Group founded their subsidiary Würth IT India, which will be headquartered in Pune, India. The inauguration ceremony with Members of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group and the managing directors of the Würth IT companies was held in August. At present, the newly founded company has 18 employees on the payroll. The six IT companies of the Würth Group employ more than 600 people. In addition, more than 780 IT specialists are employed with the trading and manufacturing companies of the Würth Group.

The Würth Group entered the Indian market in 2005, operating five subsidiaries in India today. "Founding a new company in one of the strongest growth regions of the world was very important for us. Our goal is to set up the required IT infrastructure for our companies. The high IT competence in the region could already be seen during the training period for the new staff. We are therefore optimistic to be able to quickly expand our IT company in Pune," Bernd Herrmann, Member of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group, says of the new foundation.

Würth IT India will mainly see to the rollout of all Group systems in Asia. At the same time, the new team will support all Asian companies in IT matters. The new subsidiary allows better and more direct customer care in Asia as well as the opening up of new markets. First IT projects have already been acquired.
