Würth Group inaugurates new site in Taiwan

Künzelsau/Houlong. Würth Taiwan Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Würth Group, has moved its headquarters to a new location in Houlong, Miaoli. With the new premises for its administrative and logistics building, Würth Taiwan has laid the foundation and logistic basis for the future growth of the company. At a traditional Taiwanese ceremony on 3 May 2016, Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group's Family Trusts, officially inaugurated the new headquarters together with the management of the Taiwanese subsidiary.

At the new premises, special importance was attached to having sufficient space for administration, training rooms, a pick-up shop, and a modern logistics center. Automated processes and the use of cutting-edge technology contribute to increased efficiency in the distribution center. The capital invested in constructing the new building complex came out to EUR 12 million. This investment in one of the strongest growth regions in the world is of great significance for Würth. The company is thus able to safeguard jobs in the long term and at the same time taps into addition potential for strategic growth in Taiwan.

Würth Taiwan was founded in 1989 and is a leading provider in the trade sector. The company currently has 349 employees on its payroll. In 2015, the Taiwanese subsidiary generated sales of EUR 20.8 million.

The Allied Companies of the Würth Group, which either operate in business areas related to the core business or in diversified business areas, round off the range by offering products for DIY stores, material for electrical installations, electronic components such as circuit boards, and financial services. They account for more than 40 percent of the Würth Group's sales volume.
