Würth hosts start-up event

Summary

Künzelsau. The winners of the 2017 WECONOMY competition, which is geared towards start-up companies and young entrepreneurs, visit Würth on 20 and 21 March to get important advice and support from experienced managers from different industries. Marketing and sales topics will be in the focus of the event hosted by Würth.

Providing young companies and their founders with know-how and experience in their getting started: That is what WECONOMY is about. The initiative is a cooperation of the non-profit organization Wissensfabrik – Unternehmen für Deutschland e.V., the business and innovation center UnternehmerTUM of the Technical University of Munich and the newspaper Handelsblatt. Being a member of Wissensfabrik, Würth supports the founder initiative WECONOMY and hosts the second of a total of three events for the winners of this year’s competition. Robert Friedmann, Chairman of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group welcomed the participants at the headquarters of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG on Tuesday morning. “Fresh ideas and totally new approaches characterize the start-up scene. Established companies can benefit from that, too. In exchange, we are happy to share our experiences to promote entrepreneurship in Germany,” Friedmann explains.

Focus on marketing and sales

In the focus of the WECONOMY days at Würth will be marketing and sales topics, which will be addressed and discussed on both days by means of speed mentoring sessions, keynote speeches and workshops. Among the experts are also two Würth representatives: Alexander Kimmig, Head of Power Tools, Services and Systems, and Dr. Martin Wädele, Head of Research & Development at Würth, will share their expertise in so-called speed mentoring sessions. There, experts and founders discuss a focus topic from their daily business selected by the founders.
