Würth on track to growth - Inauguration of new branch office in Künzelsau-Gaisbach
Künzelsau. The new branch office and administration building of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG was inaugurated with a large celebration on 13 June 2016. The building offers workspaces for 580 employees as well as space for conferences and seminars. The speakers at the inauguration included Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group's Family Trusts, Bernd Herrmann, Member of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group, and District Administrator Dr. Matthias Neth.
Closeness to the customer, competence and quality are of utmost priority at Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. In the new branch office, customers will be attended to on a sales area of over 800 square meters. The building’s top location directly next to Federal Highway 19 ensures optimal accessibility for customers.
"Würth invests in all sales channels. The new branch office in Gaisbach is a visible symbol of the strategy we pursue," said Bernd Herrmann, Member of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group. "We are sure that our regional customers will respond well to it." Over 400 branch offices cover the immediate needs of our customers across Germany.
The cube-shaped, seven-story branch office building with atrium also houses offices, a showroom, a seminar area and a company restaurant. The investment for the new building amounts to EUR 28.5 million. Construction took approximately two years and the pick-up shop has now been open since the end of April.
25-year anniversary of Akademie Würth
During the inauguration, the company also celebrated the 25th anniversary of Akademie Würth. Since the foundation of Akademie Würth in 1991, an extensive range of courses have allowed employees to put together their own continued education programs. In addition, Akademie Würth Business School has been offering various on-the-job programs for further academic qualification to the employees of the Würth Group since 2003. This includes a program for earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which is offered in cooperation with the University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA. Furthermore, Akademie Würth organizes training seminars and continued education courses for its customers. As part of a panel discussion during the 25th anniversary celebration of Akademie Würth, Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Harald Unkelbach, President of IHK Heilbronn-Franken, and Norbert Heckmann, Chairman of the Management of Adolf Würth GmbH, expressed their commitment to professional training. "One thing has always been clear to me: We must never stop learning. We would not fit into this day and age anymore if we hadn't continued to develop even each and every minute of each and every hour. For that reason, it was clear that we as a company have to regularly offer our employees the opportunity to continue learning," said Reinhold Würth.
