Graduates of University of Louisville celebrate Master's degree
You gained many experiences and expanded your personal network during the time of your study. Make the best of it.
Eleven graduates of the University of Louisville in Kentucky (USA) were awarded their Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). They received their certificates in a typical American graduation ceremony at Carmen Würth Forum in Künzelsau-Gaisbach on 16 October 2020.
The students had worked towards this moment in a degree course that took them 13.5 months. They completed the international program in Germany and the U.S. alongside their job. The degree course focused above all on responsible management behavior and sustainable management. The renowned U.S. University of Louisville offers the MBA program in cooperation with Akademie Würth Business School. The program is not only open to Würth Group employees, but to everyone with at least three years of professional experience after their first degree.
Harald Unkelbach, Member of the Management of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, opened the ceremony and extended his congratulations to the graduates. “You gained many experiences and expanded your personal network during the time of your study. Make the best of it.” Prof. Todd A. Mooradian, Dean of the College of Business of University of Louisville, who joined the ceremony via Skype, encouraged the students to “change the world”.
Another highlight was the address by Prof. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group’s Family Trusts. He called on the graduates to take responsibility wherever they are. This was followed by further inspiring speeches by Prof. Dr. Ralf Dillerup, Academic Director of the Global MBA Program, and Sabrina Caroli, a highly successful graduate of the MBA program, who both let the past months pass in review again.
About the MBA degree
Globally operating businesses are looking for employees with internationally recognized degrees, experience abroad and excellent English language skills now more than ever. The MBA program is an ideal platform. The MBA degree is awarded by the College of Business of the University of Louisville. The high-ranking college is fully accredited by the American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The strongly application-based lectures and exercises are held in English. In addition to that, the students complete half of the degree course period in the U.S. They have to draw up a business plan for their thesis. The program does not only improve the students’ language proficiency, but also fosters their intercultural exchange.
The study groups are composed of students of different companies and nationalities and with different backgrounds and experiences. They are taught by professors from Germany and the United States, as well as by professionals from the world of business, among them Prof. Reinhold Würth and Harald Unkelbach.
