Würth Group donates EUR 100,000 for earthquake victims in Southeast Asia
On the initiative of the Würth family, the globally operating Würth Group headquartered in Künzelsau, Germany, is supporting the earthquake victims in Myanmar and Thailand with emergency aid in the amount of EUR 100,000. With this donation, the company aims to make a contribution to providing quick relief and express its solidarity with the victims of the earthquake.

On Friday, 28 March 2025, a heavy earthquake hit Myanmar and Thailand. The epicenter of the earthquake was a few kilometers from the city of Mandalay in Myanmar, which is home to more than a million people. Houses have collapsed; roads, bridges, and water pipes have been severely damaged or destroyed. Many people are still missing and electricity and communications have been cut off in some parts of the country.
“We have been deeply affected by the devastating earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. We consider it our corporate responsibility to society to support people in need. With our donation, we would therefore like to provide quick and unbureaucratic relief,” says Bettina Würth, Member of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group.
The money will be donated to a major aid organization, which is particularly committed to the welfare of children and young people and has an international network. The aid organization is on site and is providing emergency aid by providing important relief items such as tents and tarpaulins as well as medical aid.
The Würth Group has three companies in Thailand and employs around 260 people there.
